Al Jazeera’s Inside Story: FIFA’s red card

A truly depressing sight.

Disgusted. I think this is not the first time he is unopposed! I might be wrong, I am finding it difficult to look it up but I seem remember him being unopposed for the last election too!

This is a snippet from his latest press conference before the FIFA election…If you can call it that, the guy is unopposed!!

The first answer to the question in this snippet was the saddest part of the video. When asked about a FIFA crisis, Blatter mearley brushed it aside stating there are only difficulties, whilst unbelievablly trying to back his claim by refering to the Champions League Final - “Football is not in a crisis. If you watched the Champions League final you must applaud at what the game is.” You have to be joking! Stating FIFA is not in a crisis, (despite the fact there are 4 counts of bribary already confirmed!) because the Chapions League final was so good is insanity, absolutely dilusional and wrong.

When trying to cut the conference short, despite many peoples unanswered questions Blatter said,  “Listen. I will not go into discussions with people that like to create problems. I just want to tell you one thing - *A journalist laughs*  You can laugh… Elegance is an adjective, as is respect. This is something I have learned in my life. Also [I learned it] as a journalist. When I was in a press conference, and they said it was finished, I said thank you.” So he should laugh! I would have done the same! How can you say these journalists are creating problems when it was them who exposed these bribary claims?! They are not trying to make problems, they are trying to expose them, and inturn correct them. After all this he asks for respect? FIFA don’t deserve any ounce. They are a corrupt powerful business who answers to no-one. A revamp is needed, not the inevitable 4 more years from this clown.   

The BBC attack Fifa again as Panorama release ‘FIFA: Football’s Shame’

The BBC’s journalist Andrew Jennings doesn’t like Fifa….and frankly neither do I!

Working for the flagship BBC show Panorama, Jennings this week released his latest attack on football’s governing body. Jennings’ assault on Fifa is a two-prong attack in which he questions the World Cup bidding process and the multi-million dollar bribes scandal which Fifa refuses to investigate.

The timing of the show was also hugely deliberate as it ties in with next week’s presidential election in which Qatar’s Mohamed Bin Hammam will go up against current chief Sepp Blatter for the top job.

The only downfall is that he had to meet Sepp Blatter…
