Latest news is Taarabt is missing pre-season in order to engineer a move to France or Italy. What a shame, I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do in the premier league with QPR…here are his best moments from last year.

Soccer am pay homage to Mr Showboat: QPR magician Adel Taarabt

It doesn’t happen very often, but on Saturday Soccer am paid homage to the new Championship Player of the Year Adel Taarabt with his own Showboat feature after an incredible season with QPR.

QPR sit nine points clear at the top of the Championship, with 21-year-old Taarabt a key reason behind their likely rise to the Premier League.

The Moroccan playmaker has scored 15 goals in 37 appearances and besides his assists, Taarabt has been a walking Showboat throughout 2010/2011.

The QPR captain, who has two left on his contract at Loftus Road, has been in such sensational form that the Sunday Mirror linked Taarabt with a summer move to Real Madrid or Manchester United yesterday.
